A friend sent me this little cartoon yesterday.

I've often been asked 'why' I say 'potty time' for liquid elimination,

and 'surprise,surprise' for the 'lumps'. It's very simple, children parrot what they

hear their parents or other adults say...smart dogs that have a vocabulary

which includes 'p' and 'poop'... (polite words for what was really taught) might hear
someone say the not-so-polite word and consider it a command.

'Potty time and 'surprise, surprise' are just not words that would
come up in the course of daily conversation...lol.

At least 'Sparkle' won't be responding to inappropriate words.

Now: If I could just get her to understand and respond to 'my' words!

Potty training Sparkle is a quite a challenge!

It is certainly a blessing that I had Chanda first?

It helps just knowing that there is a rainbow after the storm.

It's also good to have a 'creative' imagination.

Picture Sparkle a year from now...so smart, and our carpets soooooo dry!
